Job Description

Position Overview:

The Associate Clinical Supervisor position at MASS Services is designed for individuals newly enrolled in a master’s program in ABA or a related field. This hybrid role offers a mix of direct service as a Behavior Technician while simultaneously providing training and supervision experience as a Clinical Supervisor. It’s an ideal opportunity for those seeking to transition into a supervisory role while continuing to gain practical, hands-on experience working with clients. 

Key Responsibilities:

Behavior Technician Duties (60%) 

  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities, following behavior intervention plans designed by Clinical Supervisors or BCBAs.   
  • Assist clients in skill acquisition, focusing on communication, social interaction, daily living skills, and behavior reduction.   
  • Accurately collect data during sessions and report progress or challenges to supervising staff.   
  • Ensure client safety and well-being during sessions conducted in functional and community settings. 

Clinical Supervision Training (40%) 

  • Shadow and receive mentorship from Clinical Supervisors and BCBAs, learning to supervise Behavior Technicians and RBTs. 
  • Participate in treatment planning, data review, and client progress discussions as part of your development towards becoming a Clinical Supervisor. 
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, offering insights and suggestions for treatment plan improvements. 
  • Assist in the indirect supervision of client care, including data analysis, session note review, and treatment adjustments under the guidance of Clinical Supervisors. 
  • Gain exposure to functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and the development of behavior intervention plans (BIPs), deepening your clinical expertise.

Qualifications:

Enrollment in a master’s program in ABA or a related field (required). 

  • Experience working as a Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in an ABA setting (preferred). 
  • Strong interest in learning and developing clinical supervision skills. 
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to connect with clients, caregivers, and team members. 
  • A passion for helping individuals with developmental disabilities achieve their full potential through evidence-based strategies. 

Ability to collect and report data accurately, while adhering to ethical guidelines set by the BACB. 

Work Schedule:

  • Flexibility in availability required. 
  • Must be available between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Monday-Friday for at least 20-25 hours a week. 
  • Candidates are required to commit to a six-month set schedule upon hire. 

Introductory Period:

You will undergo an introductory period of six (6) months from your start date. During this time, your performance, conduct, and overall suitability for the role will be evaluated. 

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:  

  • Driving, standing, sitting, reading, and verbal communication.  
  • Employees may interact with upset clients and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.  
  • May be exposed to clients who may be experiencing highly stressful circumstances. 

Pay Rate:

$29 – 30 / hour
